Kaufmann’s

I worked at Kaufmann’s starting in 1959.  I did ads for the newspaper.  They did not use photos as they do now for the ads.  Everything was hand drawn back then. And of course everything was all black and white. They would be done as pen and ink drawings or “wash” paintings.  Wash paintings are ink and some water.  The two pictures are wash drawings.  They would give me the actual merchandise and put it on my desk to draw.  So much different then the way things are more easily done today!
